LearnSTEAM is now accepting student applications for the 2024-25 school year.

After LearnSTEAM students demonstrate success toward completing the cognitive bootcamp modules, and making academic progress (typically toward a GED), then they can earn money while producing in the LearnSTEAM Youth Builder Construction Program, or the LearnSTEAM MakerSpace. Although LearnSTEAM is a full school year program with a September start date, it is possible for deligent students to start as late as 2nd semester. Learn more about our private alternative school by clicking around this website and then visiting with our staff at Klamath Works, on South 6th street, near the Gospel Mission at the base of the railroad overpass.

Before pausing for the 2023-24 school year, LearnSTEAM had been a pilot program of the Klamath Falls City Schools. In partnership with Klamath Works, LearnSTEAM trained 16 formally disengaged youth (dropout/pushout) in soft skills necessary for success in the skilled trades. Each student studied toward earning a GED, and 9 students completed this high school equivalency. All had the opportunity to pursue productive activities in a collaborative MakerSpace. Below is pictured the 2022-23 LearnSTEAM Team.
